Lillian A. RogersLANCASTER: Lillian A. Rogers, age 92 of Lancaster died Oct 17th, 2016 at her residence. She was born on Dec. 3rd, 1923 in Bighamton, NY to the late Floyd Jones and Mable Morgan. She retired from St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, AL where she was an R.N. She served her country in WWII in the Navy and then again during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Lillian is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Lori Woods) Rogers; beloved friend, Cathy Henry; grandchildren, Adele and Tess Buisset, and Lina Nilsson; half sisters, Shirley Luse, Mary Bun and Rose Howard of NY; and half brothers, Robert and Jeffery Jones of NY; nieces, Stella Kerosetz and Lilette Beuttenmuller; nephews Jim, Jay, and David Lyon, great nieces, and great nephews; and extended family, Claire Rhea, Carol (Sam) Jones, Danny (Beth) McKay, David Rhea, Christina (Tom) Saub, and Ashley Rhea.She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Luella Lyon; and brother, Paul Jones; and nephews, Clayton Lyon and Pat Lyons. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 7PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Caring Cremation™ will follow the service.
