Lidia Monteilh, beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 12, 2024 in Tickfaw, Louisiana. She was born on, March 17, 1934,in Villanueva, Cortes, Honduras to her parents Alfred Monteilh and Felicita Urbina.

Lidia is survived by her six children: Nora Valladares (Miguel), Yolanda Alvarado (Juan), Carlos Figueroa (Janneth), Eugenio Suazo (Eva), Odalys Shelton (Raymond), and Alexa Bustamante (Carlos). She leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Miguel Acosta, her daughter, Raquel Suazo, and her mother and father.

In addition to being a dedicated mother, Lidia had many hobbies that brought her joy. She was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought family and friends together. She also enjoyed sewing and spending hours watching old movies.

Lidia will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
