Leversie Bailey, of Buffalo, New York, passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on March 4, 1935, Leversie lived a full and vibrant life.

Leversie attended Kensington High School, graduating in 1953 before continuing her studies at the University of Alabama, where she graduated in 1959.

She was the founder of the Church of God in Christ and dedicated many years to serving her community before retiring in 2010.

Leversie was known for her love of attending church daily and praising the Lord. She had a deep faith that inspired those around her.

Leversie is survived by her loving spouse, Curtis Bailey Sr, married in 1962, and their two children: Thaddeus Bailey with spouse Vietta, and Anthony Bailey. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Though she will be deeply missed, Leversie's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
