Lester Herman Haymes Jr., 64, passed away on July 16, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Bon Air, Virginia. Lester was born on May 7, 1953 in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Herman Haymes, Sr. Lester was a 1971 graduate of Hermitage High School and was a founding partner of PSL, Inc. until his retirement in 2014. Lester is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Mary Henley Haymes; mother, Frances H. Dickerson; his siblings, Maxine Coats, Max Foore (Mary) and Ron Foore (Donna) all of Richmond and Katherine McGee of Milton, N.C., as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. An informal reception celebrating Lester’s life will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory – Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, Va. 23005.
