Cottrell, Leslie "Les" Louis Les left his earthly life on June 8, 2017 at the age of 93. He was born on October 29, 1923 in Dewey, South Dakota to Elsworth and Margaret Loughin Reeder. He was raised in Denver, Colorado and joined the military in 1943. Les received the Combat Infantryman Badge with 6th Armored Division, 50th Infantry, after serving overseas for 2 1/2 years. He attended the Univ. of Denver after discharge in 1945. He retired in 1984 after a career in the Printing Industry in Denver. Les was a member of Sun City Masonic Lodge #72, El Jebel Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters, and Mosaic Masonic Lodge of Colorado, and the Denver Consistory. Les was married to his beloved wife Ruth for 61 years until her death in 2013. Together they served as ushers at Willowbrook UMC for several years. Funeral service for Les will be held on June 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, followed by burial at Sunland Cemetery.
