Leroy Mays, 37, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed on March 18, 2021at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Leroy was born on April 07, 1983, in St. Louis, to Mary "Helen" and Sam Lee Mays. He graduated from Spoto High School. Leory futhered his education by attending Rice University, where he recieved his masters in performing arts. He was music director for SHSU School of Music. 

Leroy had no children, but a host of nieces and nephews that he truly loved. He gave his life to God at an early age. Leroy was an active member of Arise Ministries, belonged to the Helping Hand Foundation and work with various charities. 

Leroy is survived by his sister, Julie Mays; brother, Robert Mays; and 16 nieces; and 20 nephews.
