On May 14, 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved mother, Lera LaVonda Hamby, who passed away in Goodyear, Arizona at the age of 81. Born on April 28, 1943, in Provo Utah. LaVonda was the daughter of the late Latell Hamby and Vivian Twitchell. She was the second oldest of 6 children LeMoyne (Kek) Hamby, Dick (Coleen) Hamby, Loraine (Fred) Johnson, Charlotte (Mike) Butler, and Albert (Michelle) Ried LaVonda was a loving mother to her seven children: Nick (Tonya) Hamby, Tresa (Jerry) Doherty, Kim, Gina, Bryan (Tera) Jones Brett (Regina) Jones, and Matt (Kody) Jones She was also a proud grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren LaVonda attended Provo High School and went on to work as a waitress, where she touched the lives of many with her personality humor and warm smile.LaVonda presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is proceeded in death by her parents and daughter Tresa and brother Albert Rest in peace, LaVonda. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
