Leone L. Langenberg, 90Leone L. Langenberg, 90, of Douglas, WY, formerly of Lone Tree, IA and Iowa City, IA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Douglas Care Center, Douglas, WY. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at United Presbyterian Church, Lone Tree. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Responders of Lone Tree. Leone was born on November 10, 1926 in Eldora, IA, the daughter of Elmer and Elsie (Blome) Bunte. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1944 as the class Valedictorian; and she also attended Coe College for two years. Leone was united in marriage to Thomas Langenberg on June 30, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, IA; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2011. She worked as a secretary for The University of Iowa Office of Public Information and University Relations from 1966 to 1978 when she retired due to ill health. Leone was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1973. Related to her MS, she endured trigeminal neuralgia, a very painful nerve disorder. She also suffered from hearing loss for nearly 70 years, which ultimately resulted in complete deafness. Leone was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Lone Tree and Chapter AR T.T.T. Society in Lone Tree. Leone is survived by her daughter Ann (Frank) Wiederrecht of Douglas, WY; three grandchildren, Daniel (Samantha) Wiederrecht of Douglas, WY; Melissa (Ahmed) Wiederrecht of Saudi Arabia; and Karissa Wiederrecht of Laramie, WY; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law Joan Bunte of Hubbard, IA; and three nephews, Alan (Diane) Bunte of Monmouth Beach, NJ, Brent (Pam) Bunte of Fort Dodge, IA, and Curtis (Shirley) Bunte of Hubbard, IA.
