Leonard (Lenny) Salisbury Connor, 74, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2016 at his home. The son of the late George and Irma Price Salisbury, Lenny was born on December 1, 1942. Lenny was a graduate of Detroit Diesel Training Program and had a long career as a master craftsman mechanic. In his free time he enjoyed camping with family and friends, fishing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Connor; his daughter, Mary Beth (Eric) Schadow; sons, Edward (Kelly) Connor, and Matthew Connor; his siblings, Mark (Sue) Salisbury, Jerry Salisbury, Nelson (Bonnie) Salisbury, Donna (Art) Cole, Linda (Dan) Kingsland, Edith (Tom) Ciccone and Gloria Schimical; grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary and Madelynn Schadow, Alyssa (Michael) Hill and Ashley Connor; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Martha Burns and Linda Salisbury; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lenny was predeceased by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Salisbury. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 14 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
