On Sunday, June 3, 2019, Leona S. Alden (nee Murphy), loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully. 

She was born on February 2, 1947, to Claude and Martha Murphy and had two sisters. Raised in Tucker, GA, she followed in her mother's footsteps and became a nurse, caring graciously for many patients over her 34-year career. 

Marrying George Alden, she had two children, Penny and Gary. Leona was never happier than the summers she spent with her grandchildren visiting.

She was loved by all who knew her for her overflowing heart, infectious laugh, never-ending support, and her apple pies.

Leona was preceded in death by her sisters and husband.  She is survived by her children, grandchildren and many other loving family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2019, at 11:00 am at Legacy Funeral Homes and Crematory, Moses Lake Chapel.
