Leon Jones, born on July 14, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, United States, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2023. He was a beloved son of Leon W Jones Sr. and Dorothy Ann Simmons.
Leon was a devoted father to his two children, Leondra Jones and La’Kendra Jones. He loved them deeply and always ensured their happiness and well-being. His role as a father brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his children.
Leon’s legacy will continue to live on through his children and his three adored grandchildren, Brianna/Alijah Jones and Amire Smith. He adored his grandchildren, and his love for them knew no bounds.
Leon began his educational journey at Garr Early Education he then attended Dorsey High School, where he excelled both academically and socially. He was a vibrant and charismatic student who was well-liked by his peers and teachers. Leon’s journey at Dorsey High School culminated in his graduation in 1998, leaving a lasting impression on everyone whose lives he touched during his time there.
Following his graduation, Leon embarked on a fruitful career at the Metro Transit Authority. He was a dedicated employee who approached his work with fervor and diligence. Leon’s commitment to his profession was highly commendable, and his contributions to the organization will always be remembered.
Outside of work, Leon had a zest for life. He was a compassionate soul who loved helping others and making a positive impact on those around him. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering words of encouragement, Leon’s presence made a difference in the lives of many. His kindness and ability to empathize were truly remarkable.
In his free time, Leon enjoyed various hobbies. He was an avid reader and possessed an extensive collection of books. Leon also had a passion for cars and enjoyed building model cars.
Leon leaves behind One sister Patricia Jones and two brothers David/Daveion Jones and a host of family and friends to cherish his memories. His warm, generous, and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Although Leon is no longer physically present, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he loved. As family and friends bid their final farewell to Leon, they take solace in the knowledge that he is in a better place, reunited with his heavenly parents.
