MICHIGAN CITY — LeAnn M. Kennedy-Lockhart, age 48, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Michigan City. LeAnn was born on March 5, 1968 in Rantoul, Illinois, to P.J. Kennedy and Kay (LeMaster) Witt. She was a yoga instructor at Renaissance Academy in Michigan City. She loved to draw and sculpture. She also enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, and singing. LeAnn loved spending time with her family and was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her father, P.J. (Sandy) Kennedy of Marion; her mother, Kay Witt of Marion; her husband, Scott Lockhart of Fox River Grove, Illinois; two daughters, Kate Lyn Lockhart of Michigan City and Ireland Lockhart of Fox River Grove, Illinois; two brothers, Joe (Jane) Kennedy of Greenwood and Andy (Karen) Kennedy of Warsaw; four sisters, Amie (Mike) Methner of Michigan City, Sue (Jerry) Carter of Marion, Laurel Witt of San Diego, California, and Tamie (Mark) Spangle of Spokane, Washington; her grandmother, Ginny Berry of Marion; and her companion, Brett Nover of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Chuck Witt; and grandparents, aunts and uncles. Celebration of life services will be held at a later date to be announced via LeAnn Kennedy's Facebook page in Michigan City, Marion, Indiana and McHenry County, Illinois.
