On June 4, 2023, Lawrence Phelps passed away peacefully at the age of 73. Lawrence was the husband of Demetria Bullock and father of three children: Rayshawn, Lawrence, and Shavon Phelps. Lawrence was born March 28,1950 to Emma Mae Little and Larry Phelps in Washington Dc. He completed High School at Eastern High school in Northeast Washington Dc. He went off to college for a short point of his time.

Lawrence has worked for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for over 35 years. Lawrence was enormously proud of his grandchildren and family. Lawrence loved to go to the McDonald on Benning Rd to hang out with his friends. He loved the casino. He used to take bus trips up to Atlantic City. He and his son used to take drives to Live Casino once a month so he could still have some fun.

He developed many friends and was well liked by his coworkers and people he knew. Lawrence gave his life to Christ at an early age. He did the best job he could as a father, husband, son, and friend.
