LaVonne Joyce PfundLaVonne Judith Pfund, 74, of Mondovi, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Grace Woodlands Memory Care in Eau Claire with her family at her side.She was born on July 25, 1940, in Mondovi a daughter of Walter and Nellie (Larson) Gatz. On Aug. 3, 1957, LaVonne was united in marriage to Jerry Pfund. To this union, they were blessed with four children. Jerry preceded Lavonne in death on August 3, 2014. Following their marriage, they relocated to Kenosha, Wis. Upon returning home to Mondovi, LaVonne began a dedicated and long-time employment at the American Lutheran Home of Mondovi, retiring in 2013.LaVonne enjoyed camping, especially with her family at Lake Chetek where she and her husband owned a travel trailer. She enjoyed peaceful pontoon rides on the lake and as nightfall would come she loved listening to her husband Jerry play his guitar and singing songs with his family.She will always be remembered as a devoted and beloved wife, loving and caring mom and grandma. Quite honestly, her grandchildren, each and every one of them held a very special, yet equal part, of her heart and were her true pride and joy.LaVonne will be sadly missed by her Children, Jeffrey (Vicki) of Mondovi, Pam Rud of Mondovi, Steve (Kathy) of Racine and Kim (Kendall) Klevgard of Gilmanton; grandchildren, Stacey, Kriste, Nicole, Trevor, Steven, Kayla, Shelby and Kelli; 10 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Besides her parents, and her husband Jerry, LaVonne was preceded in death by sister, Darlene Gatz, brothers, Elwood and Ronnie Gatz and her two twin great granddaughters, Hope and Faith Nordahl Klevgard. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Mondovi Chapel, with inurnment to at Riverside Cemetery, both in Mondovi. A memorial gathering will be held from 3 p.m. until the hour of the services.
