LaVon "Bonnie" JohnsonDes MoinesLa Von (Bonnie) Johnson passed away at Kavanagh House December 28th, 2016, four days after her 94th birthday. She was born on Christmas day, 1922 in Mitchell, South Dakota. She lived most of her life in Des Moines, Iowa. She is survived by her daughter Sandi (Jay) Strosnider, grand-children Robin (Craig) Hagen of Gilbert, Arizona, Todd (Lisa) Shaw of Ankeny, Iowa and four great grand-children, Jordan Hagen of Denver, Colorado, Brody Hagen of Gilbert, Arizona, Ryan Shaw of Ankeny, Iowa and Nicholas Shaw of Ankeny, Iowa.She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Kathrine De Meyer, her husband Elwood Johnson, sister Lorraine Hoefer, brother Delphon De Meyer and grand-daughter Kimberly Shaw Lawrence.There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
