She married Earl Jones in 1975 and they lived together in Albany, New York. Together they raised 2 children Lisa Barnes , Kennedy Jones . She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Laverne worked at Mount Sinai until she retired in 2013 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
