Evans, Laven Wade Sr. "Tex" 60, of Peoria, Az passed away on October 6, 2016. Laven was born on June 29, 1956 in El Dorado, Kansas to Vera and Wilbert Evans while on vacation. Laven was 1 month past due and born with 2 teeth. He was raised in Meadowbrook, Illinois until 1971 when his parents moved their family to Texas. In 1972 the family once again moved to their final location in Phoenix, Arizona where Laven earned the name Tex. Survivors include his children Laven Jr., Priscilla Gonzales and Billy Buck. Tex has 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren all of Arizona. Tex is also survived by his sisters Jeannie Fortner of Florida, Andy Huff of Illinois, Tammie Linscott of New Hampshire, Loni Esperago of Arizona, 10 nephews and 3 nieces and father Wilbert of Illinois. Tex is proceeded in death by the love of his life Karen, parents Vera and Charles Fry, grandson Laven III, sister Jackie Stiggleman all of Arizona and brother Arlee of Illinois. Services are Friday October 21, 2016 6pm-8pm at Able Funeral Home 1627 N 51st Ave Phoenix, Az with a gathering in Laveen immediately following.
