With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lashawn Martin, who left us on December 10, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on May 3, 1980, Lashawn was a light in the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Martin, whom he married in 2009, and their three children, Keyshawn Martin, Latoya Martin, and Lashawn Martin Jr. Lashawn was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first.

Lashawn had a larger-than-life personality and a smile that could brighten even the darkest days. He was known for his sense of humor and infectious laugh, bringing joy to everyone he met.

His parents, Craig Martin and Patricia Thomas, raised a remarkable son who touched the lives of so many. Lashawn will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society in Lashawn's memory. Let's honor his legacy by spreading kindness and laughter, just as he did every day of his life.
