LaShanda Richardson, who was in the hospital a month after giving birth, died as a result of domestic violence by her ex-husband, an extremely violent Minister in an evangelical cult.

She leaves behind the late, Barbara A. Breaux Shortt, Berthena Shortt, Ranadaka Shortt, and a host of half-brothers and half-sisters. 

LaShanda was a hard-working, compassionate, and kind woman who always looked out for animals, the poor, and other people. She will indeed be missed.
