Larry Holbrooks, 68 of Las Cruces, passed away on August 19, 2017 in Las Cruces.Larry Holbrooks was born on October 2, 1948 in Las Cruces, NM to Edith E. Hollingsworth-Farmer and Henry Holbrooks. He attended Las Cruces High before entering in the US Army on May1, 1967 till February 28, 1970 receiving an Honorable Discharge. He was a Veteran of the Vietman War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietman Service Medal, and the Vietman Campaign Medal. Upon leaving the military he went on to become a mechanic.Larry Holbrooks is preceded in death by mother Edith E. Farmer, father Henry Holbrooks, son Carlos Toronto Holbrooks, grandson Cody Blake Holbrooks, nephew George Beasley.Larry Holbrooks is survived by brother Herb Hardin, sister Roberta Henderson, sister Madeleine Berryhill, daughter Patricia A. Fronefield from Fort Hood, TX, son Jerry Holbrooks from Smith's Ala, daughter Katrina E. Holbrooks from Irving, TX, granddaughters: Tiffany L. Bunn, Hayley Holbrooks, great grandchildren: Logan and Lindsay Bunn, Savanna, Caden, Daymeon, and Alyvia.Arrangements are with La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home.
