A former Bardstown resident, Larry Gayle Slaughter, 66, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at his residence in New Haven. He was born on Nov. 14, 1949, in Louisville. He was a retired facility tech for AT&T, past president of Kentucky Motorcycle Association of Bardstown Chapter and a U.S. Navy veteran.He was preceded in death by his father, Wert Clarence Slaughter Jr. and a brother, Randall "Dale" Slaughter.Survivors include his mother, Catherine Richards Slaughter, of Louisville, a daughter, Daria L. (Brian) Taylor, of Louisville; sons, Travis (Sara) Slaughter, of Louisville, and Andy Slaughter ,of Bardstown; a granddaughter, Ashley Slaughter; and a sister, Marilyn Flint, of Louisville.A service of remembrance will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
