Larry Devon (Von) Bridges, 55, of Chadbourn NC, gained his wings on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 at Columbus Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Thomas and Helen Bridges. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Maurice Bridges. Larry graduated from West Columbus High and went on to work for the city of Whiteville as a city Sweeper until he became a Truck Driver from which he retired due to disability in 2015. He was the backbone of the family. He was also a Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend who Most of all Loved the Lord. He was a member of Zion Wall of Chadbourn. He had a love for Racing and Fast Cars. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Linda Bridges, Daughter, Erica Graham (Kelvin), 2 sisters, Angela Robinson of Chadbourn, Linda Burch of Raeford, Brother, Thomas Bridges Jr (Theresa), Aunt, Martha James, Special Aunt Vance (Charles), Special Niece, Jessica Bridges, Grandchildren, Daivyon Bullock, Kiyani Graham, and Kalli Graham. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. 

Not Enough Time

The time we had Dad, wasn't nearly enough, To pack in an entire Lifetime of Love. 

There are so many questions that I need answers to, But now that you're gone, There's no way to ask you.

But there are still photos to remember you by, Each time I look at them I still want to cry....

They say grief is easier as time goes by, But that doesn't stop me from wondering why? 

Why my dear sweet dad, was taken so soon When he was my guiding star, my sun and my moon.

There are no answers to a question like this, So I'll cherish your memory, And mourn the years we'll miss.
