GLEN ROCK Larry A. Thomas, 66, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mardella R. (Winn) Thomas, with whom he celebrated a 47th wedding anniversary on October 15, 2014. A service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015, at New Hope (Fissel's) UCC Church, 3426 Fissel's Church Road, Glen Rock, with the Rev. Julian E. Hall officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a time of visitation and fellowship at the church. There will be no viewing and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is assisting with the arrangements. Larry was born on June 30, 1948, in Codorus Township and was a son of the late Clark A. and Helen R. (Fair) Thomas. He was a 1967 graduate of Susquehannock High School and retired this past year from EPI, New Freedom, where he was employed as a machine operator for many years. Prior to that, he had worked at the former AMF Union Machinery Division, Glen Rock. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, family functions and helping his neighbors whenever he could. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Danielle M. Thomas and her husband Jeff Scandinaro of Westminster, Md.; a sister, Connie J. Markle and her husband Don of Glen Rock; two brothers, Marlette E. Thomas and his wife Kathy and Ray M. Thomas and his wife Linda, all of Glen Rock. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Roxie Ellen Thomas.
