MO died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Cox Soth Hospital.Laney was born on June 27, 1932 in Kansas City the daughter of James Albert and Orpha Emerald (Wilson) Howell.She was preceded in deathy by her parents; husband Howard in 2010; son William in 1996; brother Jim; sister Elaine.Laney was a retired R.N., B.S.N from Kansas City Research Hospital.She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Joseph and Dawn Deskin of Springfield; grandson, Zachary; grandaughter, Danielle; a sister, Helene Hartley of Michigian; special friend and caregiver, Barbara Hainey and many friends.Memorial Mass will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.Laney will be cremated and inurnment will be at a later date.Memorial contributions are suggested to the or Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Laney's Memory.Arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral home Ltd., DeGraffenreid- Wood Crematory.
