It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lainey Hana, who left us too soon on January 25, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia. Lainey was born on October 14, 2007, to her loving parents Jian Peng and Lan Hana.
Lainey was a bright and compassionate soul who brought joy to everyone she met. She had a contagious laughter and a smile that could light up any room. She was a devoted partner to Carson Weatherly and cherished their time together.
Lainey was a dedicated student who attended Oak Ridge High School and graduated in 2025. She had dreams of continuing her education at Tidewater Community College to pursue her passions and make a difference in the world.
Though Lainey's time with us was cut short, she will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those around her. She may be gone, but she will forever live on in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Lainey. You will be deeply missed.
