Lady Helen Hardy was born on Sept. 29, 1940 and passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013.Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Saturday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.She is survived by her brother, Ford Thomas Hardy Jr.; and nephew, McCall Gottlieb "Zephyr" Hardy.She was the beloved daughter of the late Ford Thomas Hardy Sr. and Lady Helen Henriques Hardy.She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Edouard "Chappy" Hardy.She graduated from Louise McGehee High School and Newcomb University. She later pursued a career in writing.The family would like to thank St. Joseph Manor in Thibodaux and Crescent City Healthcare for the love, care and support that was given to Lady during her last years.Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
