SIDNEY — L. Timothy "Tim" Jones, 72, of Sidney, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his home.

He was born on June 20, 1944, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Lawrence J. and Norma M. (Schroeder) Jones.

He is survived by three children, Gregory L. (Angela) Jones, of Anna, Brian T. (Gina) Jones, of Orlando, Florida, and Debra L. (Steve Sena) Jones, of Chicago, Illinois; three siblings, Tony Jones, of Marysville, Terri (Tom) Jacobs, of Fort Loramie, and Tana (David) Warren, of Sidney; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Susan, Todd and Kate Jones.

Mr. Jones was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, serving his country from 1962 to 1965. He was a member of American Legion Post 446 Anna, Ohio, Sidney VFW, Sidney Elks, Moose of Concordia, Kansas, and the 40/8 Club. He was the owner/operator of the Outpost Sports Center in Sidney.

Mr. Jones was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James J. Riehle officiating. A committal service will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney.
