We are saddened to announce the passing of Kristinn Sigurjonsson on February 14, 2026, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Born on January 19, 1968, to proud parents Sigurjon and Þórunn, Kristinn lived a full and vibrant life in Iceland. Kristinn had two wonderful children, Sæþór Sindri Kristinsson and Berglín Mist Kristinsdóttir. Family was always the most important thing to Kristinn, as evidenced by his eight beloved grandchildren.
He later moved to Canada and became a long-haul driver, spanning multiple provinces and states in the US. In 2017, Kristinn married the love of their life, Martha. Although Kristinn later worked as a self-employed individual, his true passion was writing. As a novelist, Kristinn brought joy and inspiration to many through his stories: Under the Icelandic Sky, Echoes of Silence, Datner and the Donald: A Highway to...Greatness, The Adventures of Datner: Snow on Donner, and others. You can check his Amazon profile on https://shorturl.at/RppUd.
Despite facing health challenges, Kristinn approached life with a sense of humor and positivity that endeared them to all who knew them. Tragically, Kristinn passed away due to respiratory failure after undergoing surgery on his pancreas to remove a cancerous tumor, leaving a void in the hearts of their family and friends.
While Kristinn may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, creativity, and laughter will live on forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Kristinn.
