Kiah Johnson, of Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 73. She was born on January 19, 1950, to the late Howard and Sarah Johnson.

Kiah was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She always had a smile on her face and brought joy to everyone she met. Her sense of humor and kind heart touched the lives of many.

Kiah attended Charlotte High School and went on to earn a degree in education from North Carolina State University. She spent her career as a devoted elementary school teacher, helping to shape the minds and hearts of hundreds of students over the course of her thirty-year career.

In her free time, Kiah enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, and reading. She had a passion for travel and had visited many countries, including France, Italy, and Australia. Kiah was also an active member of her church community, volunteering her time and talents to help those in need.

Kiah is survived by her daughter, Megan, son-in-law, David, and two grandchildren, Lily and Jackson. She is also survived by her siblings, Carter, Mary, and James, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private funeral service will be held for Kiah's family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Kiah's memory. Kiah will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
