Kevin Lightbourne, beloved son, father, grandfather and uncle, passed away on October 07, 2023, at the age of 58 in Bronx, New York. Born on September 24, 1965, to Harry and Sylvia Lightbourne, Kevin attended J.H.S. 143 (now known as The New School for Leadership and the Arts) for his primary education and later attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx. He then embarked on a successful career as a sub-contractor, specializing in home improvement.enriched the lives of all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. He was a kind-hearted man who always went above and beyond to help others. Whether it was lending a hand with bags, fixing things around your house, or saving a parking spot for you in the rain or snow, Kevin had a big heart and loved those who were apart of his life .

Kevin was a dedicated family man who leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He was the proud father of four children, Kevonn Henderson Sr. , Garry Henderson, Michele Clark, Kevin Jr. , Lakeyda , Shynika and Rashonda Henderson. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Kevonna, Kelis , Kalia Henderson , and Kevonn Henderson JR, Mikenzie Cobb, Gabrielle Beall, Ga'Nyrra and Giaa Henderson, Mi'Shea Clark, Amari, Kamari Henderson, Kevin and Keyonni Yarborough, He will be dearly missed by his brother Vincent Lightbourne, sisters Kenyetta and Afre Lightbourne, nieces and nephews Michael Vincent Dudley, Alexandria Dudley, Dwayne Allen Van Norden, Diaminasia Lightbourne as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

On October 18, 2023, tragedy struck as Kevin Lightbourne succumbed to a sudden heart attack. His loss is immeasurable, leaving a void that will never be filled. Kevin's passing serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones.

Those who were fortunate enough to have known Kevin will remember his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering support. He had an uncanny ability to make others feel valued and cherished, and his presence could light up any room.

Kevin's memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. His love, guidance, and wisdom will continue to inspire and guide them throughout their lives.

As we mourn the loss of Kevin Lightbourne, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and strive to carry on his legacy of love and compassion. In our hearts, he will forever reside, a shining light guiding us through the darkest of days.

Lord, I am mourning. Wrap me in your arms, hold me tight, and send your angles of mercy to me. Shower me with your comfort and those around me. Keep away those whose words and actions bring me no comfort. I know you are with me in my grief and are mending the brokenness in ways that are unseen. Lord, please hold me in your arms, take away the pain, and help me bare it. Please guide my surviving family and help them recover from the loss of Kevin.
