Kent TaylorUrbandale, formerly of PerryKent Taylor, age 68 of Urbandale and formerly of Perry, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home in Urbandale, IA. A gathering with his family will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry at a later date. Memorials may be given to or the library of your choice and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home. He graduated from Perry High School with the class of 1966 and then went on to further his education at the University of Northern Iowa. After graduation, he was employed by the Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance. After he retired he worked at the Jordan Creek Barnes & Noble book store. He enjoyed reading books and going to the movies.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Taylor.He is survived by two brothers, Mark (Kim) Taylor, Perry, IA and Charles Taylor, Idaho and a niece, Michelle Atwell, Ankeny, IA.
