Kent Ray Granger, 63, of West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed unexpectedly in his home Monday, May 28, 2018.

Kent was born to Theodore and Bernice Granger on November 3, 1954. He graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1971 and received a degree from Glassboro State College in 1976. Kent was a real estate enthusiast and moved to California in 1995 to pursue his dream. He was a true “people person” who loved to work and only retired due to health issues in 2015. Kent most recently worked at MW Real Estate Group in Los Angeles, CA.

Kent is survived by 3 children: Kelleta Granger of Philadelphia, PA, Kent Thornton of Newark, DE, and Turquoise Vazquez of Norristown, PA. He also is survived by 5 grandchildren and countless family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Theo and Bernice, and his older brother, B. Granger.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 1 at Campbell and Park Funeral Services, 5535 Water Way, Redondo Beach, CA. A private internment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Redondo Beach. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
