WAWAKA — Kent Lane Gerver, 55, of Wawaka passed away unexpectedly while doing evening chores on his beloved family farm on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. Kent was born on June 29, 1960. in LaGrange, Indiana, to Willis L. and Mary Catherine (Weber) Gerver. He grew up on the family farm where he passed away this week. Kent married Sandra K. Braden on Feb. 14, 1981. Together they have four children, Ryan (Julie) Gerver, Victoria Gerver, Emily Gerver, and Andrew Gerver and one grandson, Aben Gerver. Kent was blessed to work with all four of his children on the farm. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. To honor the wishes of the family, visitation will be kept private. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BBN Radio Station in the name of Kent Gerver or a trust fund payable to FFG Farms set up for his grandchildren.
