Kenneth "Skip" Monefeldt SURPRISE, AZ — Kenneth "Skip" Monefeldt, 79, of Surprise, AZ passed away on March 17th, 2014. Kenneth was born on July 22, 1934 in Racine, WI to Edwin L. and Lydia Erdman Monefeldt. He graduated from Washington Park H.S. in 1952 and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1953-57. Following that, Ken worked as a lithographer for 34 years before retiring in 1994 to AZ. Ken is survived by his two daughters, Kristin (Thomas) Zakowski and Whitney (Matthew) Cody; grandchildren, Laura (Daniel) Sadowski, Taylor (Joel) Whitley, Paige (Derek Howerton), Shaye and Emma Cody; great- grandchildren, Madelyn, Dylan and Weston Sadowski; his brother, Tim (Sandra) Monefeldt and sister, Linda (Bill) Tillett; 8 nieces/nephews as well as many other family members. He was preceeded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Gerald. The family will be forever grateful to Donna Heard, whom Kenneth loved and appreciated the past 5 years. Services will be held on Monday, March 31st at 11 a.m. at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church 6300 E. Bell Rd Scottsdale In lieu of flowers, the family is asking any donations to be made in Ken's name to Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church 15820 W. Clearview Blvd Surprise, AZ 85374.
