Kenneth “Kenny” Allen Glover, 73,of Bear Creek passed away Tuesday, June 6th 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Kenny was born in Chatham County NC on November 23, 1960, to Carolyn Glover Brown. Kenny loved the Lord and loved his church. He was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Each year he was so proud of his yard, he would work for hours making sure it looked the best. Kenny loved his family, especially the grandkids. When Braylon, Isabella and Rosalie would call him “Poppa” it would just melt his heart. Coaching rec ball for his grandkids and other kids was one of Kenny’s favorite places to be.

Mr. Glover is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melinda Glover; daughter, Latasha Degraffenreaidt and husband, Brandon of Bear Creek; son, Leegonda Glover of Shelby; mother, Carolyn Brown of Asheboro; sister, Lisa Gipson of Asheboro, brothers, Joey Glover of Georgia, Morris Glover and wife, Janet of Siler City, and Anthony Shoffner of Alabama; grandchildren, Braylon, Nigel and Markyce Glover . Kenny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mabel Glover.

A visitation will be held on Friday , June 16th 2023 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 396 NC Hwy 42, Goldston, from 1:00-2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Arlen Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
