We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of Kauree Dirks, a beloved daughter, friend, and lover of life. Born on July 14, 2006, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kauree lived a full and vibrant life until her unexpected passing on January 9, 2026.

Kauree, also known as the ultimate dog mom to her beloved furry friend, was a graduate of Independence Jr/Sr School, where she excelled academically and socially. She had a passion for reading and could often be found curled up with a good book and her loyal companion by her side.

Despite her young age, Kauree had a quick wit and a contagious sense of humor that brought joy to everyone she knew. Her parents, Eric Dirks and Jessica Hack, will forever remember her mischievous smile and infectious laughter.

While Kauree leaves behind no children of her own, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Kauree. May you continue to bring joy and laughter wherever you may be.
