ORLAND — Kathryn A. Mase, age 93, of Orland, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at her residence. Kathryn was born on March 6, 1922, in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of Leslie and Elsie (Larison) Walker. They preceded her in death. She formerly lived in Mesa, Arizona, and retired as a school nurse for the Mesa School District. She married Andrew D. Mase Sr. on June 16, 1946, in Bloomington, Delaware. He preceded her in death on Jan, 28, 2005. Her hobbies included reading, and she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and her dog, Peanut. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene Survivors include her daughters, Joyce and Melvin Shelburne of Orland, Indiana, and Barbara and Larry Alleshouse of Penrose, Colorado; two sons, David and Mary Mase of Fremont, Indiana, and Andrew Mase Jr., of Orland, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Vicky Mase of Bronson, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold Walker and Wilson Walker. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Mase, and a daughter, Andrea Mase. Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016. at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Meyers officiating.
