Kathryn Jane "Janie" Lewis passed away peacefully in Hospice, in Colorado Springs, on Feb 4, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer.  She was born Oct 29, 1943 in Lyons, Kansas to Jack and Margaret Plank.  Janie is survived by a son, Erik Lewis (Laura May) of St.  Louis, Missouri, a sister Jill Smith of Warner Robins, Georgia, and a brother Ed Plank (Sharon) of Colorado Springs.  She was preceeded in death by both parents. 

Janie was the consummate Denver Broncos fan, cheering the Broncos on from the heart of Patriots country in Massachusetts, for more than 30 years.  Janie later lived in Durango, Colorado, for 10 years.   She was an avid reader, with a small library of her own, and had an affinity for Elvis Presley and Dixieland jazz.
