Koert, Kathryn Gale went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2016, at the age of 67. She was born on May 22, 1948. She grew up in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, PA on Mulberry Street, graduated from Phil-Mont Christian Academy, studied nursing at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania, and earned her LPN. She was married to David Koert in 1982. They were married for 33 years. She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Koert; two children, Irene Koert and Michaela Koert; two grandchildren, Derilynn Wells and Danielle Wells; and seven brothers and sisters, Evelyn Coles, Don Rinear, Susan Cranmer, Donna Edgecomb, Paul Rinear, Ruth Scott, and Daniel Rinear. Kathy was the pianist for many years at her church in Pennsylvania. She was active in evangelical ministry both in Kansas and in Pennsylvania. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Family Church, located at 11135 W Kellogg Dr, Wichita, KS 67209. Flowers or donations may be sent to Family Church.
