Edwards, 91, died on Monday, April 24, 2017, at her home.She was born on Tuesday, February 23, 1926, in Bethel Twp., to the late Harvey Smith and Katie Smith nee Tobias in Lebanon.She was a faithful member of Covenant United Methodist Church and was a homemaker who raised five children. Kathryn enjoyed reading, birdwatching and gardening.Surviving are sons, Donald Edwards and his wife, Leslie, Lebanon, Harold E. Edwards, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, Boiling Springs; daughters, JoAnn L. Edwards, whom Kathryn lived with in Lebanon, Sally Edwards Kirkwood and her husband, William, Bethel; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Smith, Newark, Del., and Jean Snavely, Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Harold E. Edwards (2008); son, Larry P. Edwards (2016); and brothers, Carroll W. Knapp and John Smith.Viewing will be on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 346 N. 9th Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the church.
