Kathleen "Kathy SimmonsHyde Park - Kathleen "Kathy" Simmons, 52, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on September 25, 2017 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY. She was born on March 22, 1965 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of Gaetano & Theresa Cerulli Giangrasso.Kathy married Harmon Simmons on July 20, 1985 in Regina Coelhi Church in Hyde Park, NY. He survives at home. For 20 years she was employed as a Bookkeeper for the Poughkeepsie Journal in Poughkeepsie, NY. Kathy enjoyed traveling and went to Africa, Australia, the Caribbean and Ireland. She was proud of earning her Cosmetology License.Survivors include her sister: JoAnn (Gregory) MacDonald of Poughkeepsie, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brother: Gaetano Giangrasso, Jr. and sister: Debi Marion.Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 7-8 PM at the Wm. G.
