Kathleen L. LaBounty 1934 - 2016WHITESBORO - Kathleen L. LaBounty, 82, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care.She was born on February 27, 1934, in Utica, a daughter of the late Henry and Winifred (Doherty) Laffey. On September 19, 1954, in Utica, she was united in marriage to William G. LaBounty. Mr. LaBounty died on December 19, 2005.She was employed, at one time, with Woolworths in Sangertown Square, prior to her retirement.She is survived by her children, William H. LaBounty, of Whitesboro, Barry A. (Kevin Cox) LaBounty, of Pittsburgh, Michael G. (Kim) LaBounty, of Whitesboro, and Carleen (Robert) Wright, of Whitesboro; also a beloved niece, Tammy LaBounty Donato; and several other extended family members.The family wishes to sincerely thank the Sitrin Home, especially the staff of the Sequoia House, for the wonderful care that was given to Kathleen during her stay there.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro, with the Rev. Thomas Durant officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
