Katherine Shelby Taylor Phillips , 78, passed on March 31, 2021. She was born to Joseph Taylor and Marianna Taylor in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 25, 1942.

She married Micheal Phillips and they lived together in Indianapolis, Indiana. Together they raised 4 children Micheal Phillips Jr (Alicia Phillips ), Mariah Thompson (Gerald Thompson), Monica Phillips , Marcellus Phillips . She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Katherine graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1960 and received a degree from the Marian university in 1963.

Katherine worked at Marquette Senior Living Home as a nurse until she retired in 2007 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. She also volunteered at the Christ Church Cathedral since she was 15 years of age. She was apart of the choir and always helped when she could.
