We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Karla Sanchez Alvarado, who left us too soon on October 15, 2024, in Patterson, California. She was born on January 22, 1980, to Juan Luis and Guadalupe Sanchez Alvarado.

Karla was a loving wife to Samuel Barrera, whom she married in 2018. Together, they raised two children: Oryan Barrera Sanchez (spouse Samuel Barrera), and Emilio Sanchez (spouse Orlando Pimental). Karla also had Jose Benitez Sanchez, Amethyst Victoria Sanchez (spouse Orlando Pimental), Joanna Huerta Sanchez & Oswaldo Huerta Sanchez (spouse Osbaldo Huerta),

Karla was a vibrant soul who enjoyed hobbies such as painting, listening to music, going on hikes, spending time with family, and taking care of her garden. She brought light and laughter wherever she went, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Unfortunately, Karla battled Stage 3 Cervical Cancer and lupus. She beat it the first two times but then came back a third time and she fought as she could until the end. Though she may be physically gone, her spirit will always shine brightly in not just her kids lives but in all of us.

Rest in peace, Karla. You will be dearly missed.
