Karen Lanners Karen Lanners born on September 7, 1949, in Lynwood, Calif. went to the Lord on December 1, 2016, in Los Osos, Calif. Karen was preceded in death by her daughter Shannon Knesek. She is survived by her husband Chuck Lanners; sons, Eric Lanners and Marshall Lanners; and daughter-in-law, Lauren Ezerins. Karen received her BA from San Diego State University and her Masters and PHD from Trinity College of Graduate Studies. She was a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist as well as a Clinical Psychologist. Karen was a driven professional dedicated to serving those in need. She was passionate and wanted to make a difference any way she could. She supported the Wounded Warrior Project as well as Children's International. She worked on military bases in the United States and Europe to help soldiers returning from Tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Karen loved to travel, create art, kayak, bike and watch science fiction TV Shows. Family and Friends are invited to Karen's Celebration of Life held at 11:00am, Friday, December 9, 2016, at Calvary Chapel in San Luis Obispo.
