Karen Hoffecker KoenigKaren Hoffecker Koenig passed away on February 18, 2017 at the age of 73 in Atlanta, Georgia.Karen is survived by her husband, Don Koenig; children, Chad Hoffecker and Kristen Hoffecker; step-children, Mike Koenig, Doug Koenig, Kevin Koenig and Kristen Greenwood; and her sisters, Cheryl Yeoman Kenton and Phyllis Shorman.Karen was born on March 14th in Detroit and was a long-time resident of Okemos, MI, and Amelia Island, FL. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and was an elementary and nursery school teacher; however, she was most proud of being a mom. Karen loved animals and raised a Leader Dog for the Rochester School for the Blind. She had a creative flair and was not afraid to use it, which at times could be unfortunate. Karen's laugh and spirit will be missed.Please join family and friends for a celebration of Karen's life from 2-5 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Marriott University Place, 300 MAC Avenue, East Lansing.
