Karen Elizabeth Arps HenryGreenvilleKaren Elizabeth Arps Henry, 48, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 after a valiant 14 month battle with stomach cancer. She was born on April 13, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Regina Arps. She married John S. Henry on August 24, 1996.Karen was an honors graduate of Winthrop University and a member of Chi Omega. During her career, she was employed at various times by Gates, F.A., Synnex, Greenville Federal Credit Union and Aflac Insurance. She was a communicant of Christ Church Episcopal where she was a member of various choirs and hand bell ensembles. Karen was a former fundraising director for Concerned Citizens for Animals and a past president of Rotary Club of Greenville East. Most recently she was a board member of Christian Learning Center.Karen is survived by her husband, John S. Henry; their daughter, Samantha Frances Henry; her parents, William and Regina Arps of Port Charlotte, Florida; sister, Kelli Arps Carlton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Dobbins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Nancy Lee of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Laura Carson of Franklin, TN; nieces, Taylor Carlton, Shannon Woodward, Kelly Morris, Angela Burnsworth and Lindsey Carson; and nephews, Sawyer Carlton Zachary Carlton and Ian Carson.
