She was born on June 2, 1926, daughter of the late William and Julia (nee: Acker) Holterman on the family farm in St. Martins (Franklin). June was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joseph Michel, Jr., on September 13, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Martins. Joseph preceded her in death on October 17, 1973. After raising 10 children, June stayed busy volunteering at St. Mary’s Hospital, bowling, babysitting grandchildren, the mission sewing group at church, the 50-plus club, attending plays at the Fireside Theatre, and watching Packer games.
