She was born on June 19, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Kenneth Lyman and Mary Ellen (Luker) Smith.Julie is survived by one son, David Suess of Lawton, OK; two daughters, Devi Marie Suess of Erie, CO, and Mary (Brian) Baumrind of Schaumburg, IL; seven grandchildren, Nikolai Suess, Alexander Suess, Mikhail Suess, Juliet Suess, Catherine Suess, Elizabeth Suess, all of Kenosha, WI, and Alec Baumrind of Schaumburg, IL; one great-granddaughter, Eastyn Suess. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harald Suess; and daughter, Nancy Suess.A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church, 36W957 Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60123. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM at the church.
