It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Julian (Matt) Katz, who peacefully departed from this world on November 28, 2023. Born on July 12, 1953, in Winchester, Virginia, Matt was the cherished son of Adam Katz and Miriam Katz.
Matt shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with his devoted spouse, Naomi Bernstein. They were united in marriage in the year 1976 and were blessed with a wonderful family. Together, they had one child, Elijah (Eli) Katz, who brought endless joy and pride to their lives. Eli's unwavering love and dedication was a testament to the remarkable upbringing Matt provided.
A doting grandparent, Matt reveled in the love and laughter brought by his four grandchildren. Their presence filled his heart with an unmatched warmth and joy, creating countless treasured memories. Matt's love for his grandchildren was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Throughout his professional life, Matt applied his legal expertise as a Lawyer, leaving an indelible mark on the legal community. His commitment to justice and compassion for those he represented stood as a testament to his noble character.
Tragically, Matt's life ended abruptly due to a stroke. Although robbed of more time among us, he leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and dedication that will never be forgotten. His kind heart and unwavering commitment to his family and professional pursuits will forever be etched in the memories of those fortunate to have known him.
